South Park to go after hybrids!

    Leave it to South Park to pick up on a thread weaving its way through popular culture. This week's episode, "Smug Alert," is summaried thusly:

    "Stan persuades all the citizens of South Park to buy hybrid cars."

    Leaves much to the imagination, doesn't it? So how is South Park going to spin this one? A tongue-in-cheek, yet moral lesson on the importance of alternative drivetrains to the environment? One thing's for sure, fans are unlikely to see Chef piloting a new Prius lovemobile.

    Well, the South Park guys are well known for pissing off anyone and everyone, so it looks like it's our turn up. :lol:

    Judging by the name of the episode, "Smug Alert" I suppose they'll go after the so call elitism of hybrid owners.

    I am a fan of South Park, for the most part, but I feel that I'm going to have a few thoughts about their episode tomorrow night. What are your thoughts?

    Oh, I'm sure I'll laugh whole heartedly - I just can't wait to read what all the mouth breathers on www.gminsidenews.com post about it the next day - that'll could be just as funny! :)

    I am a huge South Park fan. It really doesn't matter to me which way they approach the topic, I'm sure it will be funny either way. It won't be the first time I've disagreed with Parker and Stone. It was the hipocricy of Isaac Hayes' resignation that made the last episode so much fun to watch, although I'm not certain it was actually his decision. I can laugh at myself almost as easily as I laugh at others.

    The way I see it, you're not cool until South Park has offended you. For me it was the line, "Genetic Engineering is man's way of correcting all of God's horible horrible mistakes: like German people." :lol:

    45? you clearly don't know where to look... I can get any major TV show within 5 minutes of the credits... not to mention other such stuff.

    that might be one of the reasons the MPAA dubed this network as one of the top 5 piracy centers in the world a couple of years. in fact, i still have my cease and desist order from 5 years ago around here somewhere...

    Well I love south park and cannot wait to see what they do tomorrow night... I would just be happy to see a prius on tv... Im going through prius Withdrawl... And generally I agree witht he points made by Parker and Stone, even the ones tat I have fallen under (there's been a few)

    I love it, no Prius owner is offended :lol: We're way more fun than those stinky scientologists. I can't wait to see how they make fun of us. I agree, you know you've truly arrived when South Park makes fun of you. South Park makes fun of everyone, why should we be any different? B)

    South Park is pathetic. So badly animated that I turned it off after 5 mintues. Family Guy - now there is a brilliant show - better than the Simpsons.

    Actually if you get over the animation which can sometimes be funny it's so bad parker and stone really have some good comedy and plots to every episode. if they sucked they would have probably gone off the air by now.

    I have read funny lampoons of Prius owners before, but my favorite is of Macintosh fandom. My wife and I watch, and every few seconds she says, yep .. that's you all right !

    anyone see this? thought? i thought it was pretty funny. i did find myself saying to myself that i don't talk to people with my eyes closed.

    george clooney's acceptance speach was pretty funny.
