Hey guys, Third day of ownership, love my prius! The only thing is the speakers are far from satisfying. Im looking to upgrade them, but have a few questions maybe you can help me with. First off, how many speakers some with the NON-JBL package? 4 or 6? -- I see I have some in the dash... Are those easy to get to? The rear speakers seem quiet and offer little sound. Would replacing the speakers help? ... or is it the amp that is at fault? I am looking for an inexpensive, yet good speaker to replace them with.. so far my search has brought me to : Sound Ordnanceâ„¢ P-65 Any comments are welcome! Thanks!
Welcome aboard! There are a few threads on this subject in this subforum. Use the search function towards the upper right side of this page just below your user name. Here is one of my favorites. The only speakers I want to swap out is the squakers in the dash.
There are many posts here talking about speakers... I'd highly recommend getting component speakers - you can put the tweeter where your front squaker is, then put the 6.5" into the front doors - very good bang for your buck ($120ish)
Im leasing the car, so I dont want to spend too much for it. As for the squakers what fits in its place?
