I have seen several posts relating to the Prius top speed of 108 mph. Since I just got my new Prius last week and will not try this yet,- what is the expected 0-60 time???????? I'm guessing about 12 seconds, close? Ed
I've heard about 10.7, although I've never checked it. I understand that your 0-34 will be pretty quick due to the torque of the electric motors.
I think it's right around 10.5 seconds. Don't know about the 108, but I've had mine up to 100 before.
I've had mine over 100mph, but don't know where it tops. And 0-60 is under 11 seconds, certainly. Faster with a full battery it seems.
There's a limiter that prevents you from going over 108 or so. A modified Prius holds the speed record for a hybrid at 130.794 mph.
Yeah, I'd go along with the 0-60 in 10.5 seconds comment. Not that I've done it much, but I was curious one day...
Consumer Reports 2005 New Car Issue: 0-30 3.7 sec 0-60 10.5 sec 45-65 6.4 sec 1/4 mile 18.1 sec @ 78 MPH. Top speed observed 107 by my speedometer.
