    HI All
I just purchased a Prius 2004, 110 Linea sol pack ( LHD ) from France. It does not have the speedo switch option to change the digital speedo reading from km/H to MPH. The speedo shows only km /h . I am driving in the UK and it is a hassle. Anyone knows how to reprogram the speedo or make the switch to MPH? My button has only a clock image on it . no km/h mph. Also the manual states the function is only available to right hand vehicles. I think the speedo computer can be re programmed- just do not know how to do it.
    Please help!

interesting question. I suspect you could trace the electonics on a wiring diagram and tap into proper spot to make your own KMh/mph switch...but I sure am not technical enough to know how to figure that out.

The NA models have that button but the EU models have the rheostat instead (that's the speedo, not the clock that you see).

I wonder if it's a programming thing so all Toyota does is decide which button to put in that slot and change the wiring/programming.

what I have found is if the option wasn't available the wiring associated with that option isn't in the harness along with the programing for it. The only divergence from this pattern is the E/V mod. Or it seems to me. As this car is equipped with rear disks the computers for braking is different and will probably only have the speed sensor required for the ABS with the 4 wheel disks.
