I just got my SSC 40D letter today. Has anyone in this list had the SSC 40D work successfully done, and have dealer recommendations for this work? After hearing the stories about the fried ECUs, I'm a bit concerned. I'm on the Peninsula, bought my car at Toyota 101 in Redwood City. Thanks!
First, I have not had the upgrade so I can't speak directly for a good dealer to go to. That being said, I think I would take it to your dealer Toyota 101. They seem to be a very Prius oriented dealer and I've heard nothing bad about them. If you are concerned, just ask them if they have done this upgrade before and if not what kind of training have they had. I hope this helps. Local meet - High Noon on July 10th at Shoreline!
