I just recently noticed that the LED just above the word "Start" on the start button no longer turns green.

I depress brake pedal. Put car into drive. The start button LED turns amber and then shuts off. If I remember correctly it used to turn green after turning amber and then stay lit green as I drive.

Any thoughts? The car runs fine, it's just strange.

Note: I'm not referring to the backlighting around the button. The backlighting is still on as normal.

Update: It's a 2007. Not sure if that matters.

Well, IIRC only the early models have it stay on while driving. I know mine (2005) doesn't. At least, I don't recall...hmm.... I'll let the others chime in.

On our 2007, the Start button LED is NOT lit when the car is in IG-ON mode. It turns amber when first pressed, but turns off after a second or two. I remember checking on this in the manual, and eventhough the language is kind of convoluted, it did indicate that the LED is off when in "Ready" mode. If you press the Start button twice without pressing the brake, the LED will be steadily lit green in the Accessory mode.

Great! Thank you for putting my mind at ease. I just recently put in the Dice ipod kit and I was worried I pulled a cable behind the dash somewhere. Whew!!!!!!!!!! :)
