Or, at least it's supposed to be coming today; I don't want to jinx anything. As mentioned elsewhere  (primary reason for my reduced posting of late on PriusChat). But, heard Tuesday that it was in next week; so I got my financing and re-read my checklist and posted my questions and arranged for insurance and yadda-yadda-yadda; i.e., I prepared myself mentally. And yesterday, my broker called up and said, "How about tomorrow?" Well, I've been setting up a trip to go see The Incredibles for my group at work for about 2 weeks for this afternoon... but priorities are priorities. So, 2/3 of the way through the movie today, I'm getting up, waving to my friends and leaving the theater. I sure do hope the Incredibles get out of whatever predicament they're into by that time! [hr:9bdf687334] So far, things look pretty good -- it's exactly what I want, and I'm getting it for exactly MSRP. A dealer in Salem OR is getting it, and they're delivering it in WA this afternoon to my broker. I'll do the inspection when I get there, and then (if everything looks good) it's a short trip to the DMV for licensing et. al. But the proof's in the pudding. So... </span>if you\'re travelling north on I-5 today in Oregon or Washington, and you see a brand-new Tideland Pearl \'05 Prius on the road: wave, think good thoughts... and stay as far away from it as possible!!!! Man, this is <span style=\'color:#008080\'>e!
What? You mean... get a digital camera? My God -- the next thing you know, you'll be telling me that I need to buy a cell phone!!!! Nope! Only one giant technical advance per decade, and the Prius meets that quota until 2010. [insert the theme to The Flintstones here]</span> Instead of photos, I\'m going to commission a portrait. Now, where are those "dutch masters" guys... (Tony: It\'s beautiful). <span style=\'color:blue\'>Details here.
PS The Incredibles (or at least the first 2/3 of it) is wonderful. Maybe particularly great if your a comix geek, or just love the 60s look of the whole thing. (I keep thinking of those Rankin-Bass stop-animated Christmas specials, but about a million times funnier -- and the imagination on the graphics are so cool.) Can't wait to watch a second showing to see how it ends (boy, I hope the villain doesn't win! ) And then see it a third time just to bask in the visuals.
