Anyone know how to enter the symbol of an index such as S&P 500 to retrieve the quotes from XM? I tried all the usual variations and none seem to work. Thanks. --Dave
I've been working on this for days with a very helpful Toyota support person. He finally found someone in Toyota who knows for a fact that you cannot enter and view index symbols with the system. This is the only stock reporting system I've ever encountered that does not report index values. Of course, I could put in the ETF equivalents, like SPY or DIA, but this is of limited value since the screen does not even report percentage changes. I would then ballpark percentage changes in my head which, like many other hobbled features dictated by the Toyota lawyers, is far more distracting than if the system was designed intelligently. Hope this saves others the hours of trial and error that I went through. --Dave
