So, they are finally starting to come around! "DETROIT (Reuters) -- Some hybrid cars will make up for their premium cost because of higher gas prices and tax credits from the U.S. government on the more fuel efficient vehicles, a study released Tuesday shows." from CNN (Reuters) CNN article from Reuters Be sure to also click on the link at the bottom of the article "Hybrids: Seven worries, seven answers".
Fairly well-written. I especially like their take on the "hybrids don't get EPA's promised MPG" issue. And I recall a quote from an earlier "research study:" LOL - Hey, Art... Shove it. *EDIT* Genalex noted an interesting thing about how the Edmunds.com study is being interpreted differently on another thread: http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=23669
Well it's about freakin' time! All those articles written back in '04 were based on estimated gas prices peaking at or near $2.00 per gallon. I have an article in which Bob Putz of GM says that hybrids simply don't make sense because gas is still cheap at $1.50/gal. Got news for ya, Buddy-boy. Some of us thought ahead. [Edit] I added the article mentioned above. Different computers. B)

Does this guy live in a cave?) #6. Ha ha ha ha HA HA HA HA! March, 2006? This guy should have done his homework and known better. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy. At least he got most of it right.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Godiva @ Aug 23 2006, 01:34 AM) </div> I just noticed that one and was about to comment on it too. Overall, a pretty good article. This quote from the Seven Questions... article cracked me up: LOL!! It just so happens that used Priuses DO sell for near-new prices, if not in other areas of the nation then most certainly here in Southern California where hybrids in general are in pretty high demand still.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Rancid13 @ Aug 23 2006, 09:44 AM) </div> I think the author's intent was to caution owners of OTHER hybrids that they wouldn't see the same high prices for used cars that Priuses go for.
