I have 2 bad TPMS sensors on my car. I bought 4 new Denso ones to replace them. My Techstream will work on every module except the TPMS sensor one. I cant program in the new sensors. Anyone have any idea why? I did a check of the mini VCI i have and found this:
I can access the live monitoring screen, I just can’t get the screen that clears faults or programs the new sensors into the system.
There were old versions of the software that had some issues connecting to Prii. I can’t recall the version(s), it has been a long time. (I’m guessing around version 9). Try a different version if you can...
I currently have V13. I was thinking an older version but I only have the one. Would those 2 pins normally fail? I have the cheap VCI and was wondering if that could be the problem.
On the clones there tend to be pins that are not connected, that prohibit flashing of ECUs. I am not aware of that being the case with the TPMS system though. Hopefully someone else with TPMS experience can chime in, as I ended up buying a Mongoose Pro, (a while back)....
I can not vouch for this download but a quick intenet search for Techstream 12.20.024 yielded this website Free Download and install Toyota Techstream 12.20.024 on Windows 7 | OBDII365.com Official Blog I have never loaded this software and can not vouch for this website. Maybe there are much safer avenues than this. I should mention that I am running Windows 10.
