I need to replace 2018 Prius prime subframe? Anybody has a diagram/procedure on how to do this to replace it with a new subframe. Please help show me what are the steps to get this done. And about how many hours it take to get this done. I took it to a mechanic shop and they’re charging me $1,200 just to replace the subframe umm sounds kinda too much don’t you think.

The removal and installation procedures for the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly are in the Repair Manual (more info), under Suspension: Front Suspension: Front Suspension Member.

The crossmember sub-assembly itself, shown in Figure 51-02, Suspension Crossmember & Under Cover, has part number 51201-47072 (formerly 51201-47071), list price $1,498.88. For its removal and replacement, you’d also need two new nuts for the steering link assembly (94188-01401, sold in the U.S. as 90177-A0017, $1.75), and two new cotter pins for the tie rod end sub-assemblies (95381-03025, $1.35), all shown in Figure 45-05, Front Steering Gear & Link, as non-reusable parts.
Toyota’s Flat Rate Manual series doesn’t give a labor time for this operation.

    Presumably just the labour?

Borrowing from @Elektroingenieur's link, is it the middle piece?

I "think" front is at the left?
