I need to touch up my rear bumper. 2014. Paint code is 040 Super White 2. I've been doing some reading online and some say it's a good match, but many say it's too yellow. I plan to use the spray can as I think it will come out better than the brush touch up paint. The scratches aren't huge, but they are black so quite noticeable. 3-4 scratches each about 1" long. Anybody have good or bad experiences they can share with this specific color?
With out a picture, it may be best to still use the brush over the spray and sand the brushed paint smooth to the edge of the scratch and polish. There are so many variables to color. UV fade, oxidation, batch of paint (not all batches match). Depending upon you desires of perfection, you could have a professional paint shop mix a quart and tint to match for you and try the brush first. If sprayed, odds are the Super White is clear coated, so once color is sprayed, one still needs to re-clear the entire panel with clear that was painted. Anyway....good luck with your repair.
