Since those of us with car pool stickers must apply them onto painted surfaces, I was wondering what sort of surface prep others have done before applying the stickers? I asked the question on another auto detailing forum and got two opposite suggestions: 1) Wash and wax then apply the sticker, will make it easier to remove later! 2) "De-wax" the area with rubbing alcohol to remove existing wax, apply the sticker, then re-wax over everything... will make the decal stick longer! I've also considered the 3M clear bra under and over idea, though that seems unnecessarily complex. Appreciate any advice, thanks.

If your car pool sticker is like ours, it sometimes changes, ugh, so waxing before you put it on would help get it off later. either way though, it's not a big deal.
