Taking a LONG road trip

    I'll will be traveling from Chicago to Los Angeles in my 05' Prius with 78k miles.

    I would like to know if I should get the car looked at before taking this trip. The oil will be changed before I leave

    Do routine checks -- tire condition/inflation/balance. coolant levels, coolant hose condition, brake pads, brake fluid level, light bulbs, wipers, 12V battery terminals. Don't assume that oil-changer did these checks.
