Hi all, Wondering if anyone has paid for an account on the techinfo.toyota.com site and can vouch that the content is useful, organized, and most importantly downloadable for use beyond the subscription period? $20 for 2-days of access is not too bad, as long as I can download the one or two things I need and can read over them as carefully/slowly as needed. I just discovered the service after I saw a .pdf in another post about how to remove the roof headlining, taken from that site, and I'm curious to get a copy for my particular Prius C model so i can do some DIY on it.
I do not think the content is downloadable. @Elektroingenieur would know for sure. It is definitely not meant to be shareable.
This site "never" supported such actions...but you can physically copy/download from techinfo.toyota.com.
Useful and organized, absolutely; see the PriusChat Wiki page for more about what you’ll find there. As for downloading, see my comment in a previous thread.
For a few heady days, a few years back, for some reason it seemed like the paywall was down: if I google searched toyotatechinfo plus some topic I was in. To the best of recollection it was pdf format on the website? Even if it wasn't, if you have Acrobat and view a page, you can "print" to pdf. There may also be other shareware that can print pdf, I appreciate Acrobat is pricey. As far as the content, as Stephen King is fond of saying, it seems like the world is "moving on", and not always in a progressive manner. I have pdf's of gen 2 and gen 3 Prius (not the c though). Of the two the gen 2 manual is definitely more complete and clear, with better illustrations (clear line art). Gen 3 seems to be sliding, mailed-in half the time. Both are still "book format" though. Fourth gen, I doubt there is or could be a book format, it's all online, lots and lots of links, and the illustrations are cut from the "model", for better or worse. Here's an example of 4th gen format, the oil change. I guess it's not bad: Official (OEM) Toyota Prius 2016 (Gen 4) oil-change instructions | PriusChat
