I was able to get TechStream 12.10.019 to run under XP and Windows 7: XP - reasonably fast but caution, make sure you have a compatible version of Java for XP. Windows 7 - what a DOG! It runs but sure takes a long time to do anything. I'm running both using VMware Fusion: dual-core, 1.83 GHz 1 G DRAM Example: Bob Wilson
Doesn't Toyota recommend using XP 64bit for current official Techstream (not sure what version though)?
Good, fast, cheap: pick two. Being retired, cheap is one and it has to be good enough to work. Bob Wilson
I never got my ebay purchased miniVCI to work on my old netbook running Win7 32 bit. It is a driver issue, I think, but I have lost interest in pursuing further to resolve the problem.
The video instructions that came with my Techstream version showed the order of the process. Works well and is a great tool for the diy tool box.
