Nothing that the reviewer mentioned about the 2011 Jetta TDI seems any different than previous versions- cheap interior finish, buying it for the drive train, overpriced, bland styling, etc.. All too familiar in my experience, yet there is still something special about them.
Is just this particular iteration when they went nuts with the cost cutting. I mean, a price drop of Cdn$6,000? It's gotta come from somewhere (torsion beam rear axle, 2.0 litre engine from the stone age, cheaper interior plastics etc). I mean, 115hp? really?
