As always, YMMV. Quality surveys for the later Mk5 / Mk6 Jetta and Golf seem to be putting them above average.
The more fuel efficient vehicles sold the better for us all. Much as I am not a diesel fan, the Jetta Wagon might appeal to some who may not like the Prius. I'd rather they bought an economical Jetta TDI than some 4 litre 6 cylinder monstrosity.
Good side, the new TDIs have no problem exceding the EPA figures. Bad side, you have to stay on top of them so they keep running to excede the EPA figures.
