Hi all — I recently inherited a ’02 Prius with about 164k miles. It’s got a brand new Group 51R AGM battery and seems to drive well.

Full disclosure: I’m more of a V8 truck/SUV guy, and hybrids aren’t really my world. The car itself is clean, but I’ll admit I don’t “get” Priuses the way most of you here do.

I’m not in a rush to sell, but I’d be curious to see what kind of interest there might be. If you’re looking for an early, clean Prius with a fresh 12v battery, feel free to reach out.

    Thanks!

This a Texas car all its life pics would be great garaged car ? Cars tend to bake in Texas so I picture a silver car with curling paint on fender tops hood trunk etc maybe naked headrests and door panels damaged . Cat converter is original no welding on exhaust so on and so forth .. yep t and Chevy folks really not worried with Prius. these early first models have their ancient problems they. But at this stage of the game a lot of them are getting to the point where it's justn9t feasible no support like American iron. Pics would put it to somewhere quick feel free to send direct . My name here at Google. com thanks

This has been a Texas car all its life, garaged most of the time and serviced by a reliable local mechanic. The paint is clean with no major sun fade, and the interior is in unusually good shape for the year. A new 12V AGM battery has just been installed, and the car runs and drives fine with working A/C. It has aftermarket catalytic converters, the exhaust is intact, and it’s a complete, presentable car overall. The only immediate needs are tires and the LCD display, which has some fading but is still readable. The triangle warning light and one of the three dash lights are on, but there are no OBD-II codes when scanned; I don’t have hybrid-specific tools to check further. Clean title in hand. Photos are attached, and I’m happy to provide specific angles or close-ups upon request. 20250819_120833.jpg 20250819_120842.jpg 20250819_120849.jpg 20250819_120857.jpg 20250819_120901.jpg 20250819_120906.jpg 20250819_120913.jpg 20250819_120920.jpg 20250819_120952.jpg 20250819_121217.jpg 20250819_121349.jpg
