I had this bookmarked several months ago, but coincidentally just used it for the first time yesterday. One of Amazon.com's vendors was looking to charge $79.95 S&H on a $19.99 item (that weighs ~5ozs). Duh. Total order was ~$101, with a $95.99 S&H charge. Had to isolate to find the offending item, then discovered there is NO phone contact information anywhere on Amazon.com. Used the Gethuman.com database, followed the instructions and was talking to a real live human in about 10 seconds and they are "resolving" the issue.
So what was the item (if you don't mind posting it)? I'd be really curious to see what could possibly cost that little and yet incur such high shipping charges.
I assume it was a typo (probably meant $7.95, which is still a bit high unless it's being shipped second-day shipping).
