    Isn't that engine a thing of awseome beauty?? :mrgreen:

    50% thermal efficiency - not even the Prius can compete with that figure.

    We can expect Diesel-electric hybrid cars to be available in the second half of 2006, once new US Federal rules concerning low-sulfur Diesel fuel are in effect.

    I wonder why that is? My step-father had an outboard motorboat. It had 2 engines, so that when one went on the fritz, the other could still get us back to land. Seems like a better idea to me.
