I can hear a mild 'cracking' sound coming from the drivers window, and also the front passenger window, when either window is in direct sunlight in the morning. I can only think that it is the sound of the glass expanding in the sunlight, as I can hear it even when the car is turned off. Very weird, and it doesn't happen all the time. Just a mild creak/crack every second or two. Anybody think they've experienced the same thing?
I haven't heard that with the car, though it sounds plausible. I've definitely noticed it around the house on a sunny day.
I have heard crackling and stuff and I've also assumed it's just expansion and contraction. Usually comes from the front. I haven't heard any from the back window (or maybe cause it's farther away and the music drowns it).
