Simple, self contaned, virtually no "footprint, could be moved/removed. Reminds me of an updated Norwegian high mountain "hutte," seclusion/ isolation the intent. Brilliant... but limited to occupancy by two... not a bad idea. We've earned some quality time... alone together! But what about the kids/grand kids. In due time, you can get your own, but site it over that ridge, beyond those woods, on the other side of that point. I'm going in to have some coffee with your Mom... and whatever might follow...
The concepts remind me of Buckminster Fuller's architecture. This house is more cubic than spheric, but the ideas seem similar. We really should be designing structures from an energy-use perspective, and not worry so much about the 'style.'
Interesting, but not energy efficient for the climate in this area. Too much surface area for the volume. Tom
I'm much more impressed with the houses built for the Solar Decathalons by many different universities.
