Iceland. So, I guess that means if the U.S.A. had a population of just over 300,000 people, as Iceland has (in stead of over 300,000,000 people, which the U.S.A. has) then the U.S.A. could import some of Iceland's excess geothermal energy. And if Iceland used only 1/10 of their total potential (for round number example) then that would supply 1% of our needs, if we bought up all their excess. Hoe, that'll put a dent in our power needs.

You betcha. If you've got too much energy then you know what to do with, then making H2 out of it is a GREAT way to get rid of it. For the rest of us, we need to do something reasonable.

A while back somebody suggested putting it on a boat and bringing it to the US from Iceland. Yup. By my calculations, it would take about a boatload of H2 to power the boat here.
