Someone had put this together on the internet I just cut and pasted it here. It gives some perspective to our current situation.
There's controversy over the poem, it appears to of been written in 2020. Or that is what is being said. But it doesn't matter to me. Still a nice piece. And those pictures are amazing. Off Topic: When I was just a kid, my Aunt bought me a typewriter (Underwood) almost exactly like the one pictured. I think she thought it would just be a toy for few years. I was maybe in 5th grade. I used that old Underwood typewriter, all the way through High School. It was amazingly well built. I remember staying up late nights rushing to get last minute papers out, clacking away on that old typewriter. It weighed a lot. But was put together so well. I think I eventually sold it at an estate sale to someone who just wanted it for decoration. But even then it still worked just the type roller had dried out and hardened, which was starting to damage the keys.
I learned how to type in High School on an underwood. Of course, the one I learned on was built sometime in the early 1970's...........

Hey, I read the book from 2017. The Pale Rider book. In my opinion we have NOT learned and are making the same mistakes they did about 1920. I hope. I sincerely hope, I am wrong. But, if history teaches us anything, it repeats. And, I think we are in for a big reboot of this whole thing. Again, I sincerely hope I am an alarmist idiot. https://www.lauraspinney.com/pale-rider/
