This site hangs when trying to use a page back feature

    Chrome, Win 10 with latest updates. Probably access a dozen web sites a day and no other shows this behavior. Only happened in about the last week. Repeatedly happens after site reload, system reboot, etc.

    takes a long time when trying to refresh a page, that's the worst i have noticed. overall, very slow compared to some other sites. i think it's all the advertising.
    it has become less user friendly around here over the last 13 years.

    When I have seen slowness it appears to be related to some of the advertising images having issues.
    Unfortunately the site content does not display until the ads are done :(

    I'm not talking about a few seconds delay, but after long enough that I after 30 seconds I just kill the connection and reload the site. All forward page transitions seem to work fine.
