Lexus Future Timeline, According to Automotive News | Lexus Enthusiast This is a rumored future timeline, not official. As you can see the NX is due for a redesign in 2021, RX in 2023, UX in 2023 (not Canadian). Canadians are gonna be busy putting out new products as well as taking over NX production for NA. I thought the redesign wasn’t until 2022 MY for the NX but maybe they are referring to introduction. iPad ? Pro
Yes, they have already announced the 2021 model NX with very minor changes. The 2022 model will be released in 2021 as an all new next generation, presumably based on the current Rav4 gas and hybrid models.
Odd I watched this video to find out that Yamaha is partially owned by Toyota and Kirk made the connection between the Lexus LF1 and the Yamaha motors being produced. So now you get a look at the possible motors for Lexus hybrids that will be released. iPad ? Pro
Yeah nothing new. Most is what is expected. NX hopefully includes a PHEV (I say hopefully since it's never been officially announced but Lexus Europe did file a TM for NX450h+).
Hmmm I wonder if it applies to US TM? Just thinking out loud because Toyota Europe calls Prius Prime and RAV4 Prime, Prius PHEV and RAV4 PHEV respectively. Wait, just looked it up and that trademark, NX 450h+ has also been filed in the US. U.S. Trademarks Show Hybrid, PHEV Bound for Next-gen Lexus NX - The Truth About Cars So it looks official, the US will get the RAV4 Prime powertrain in the Lexus NX. The NXh is 380lbs heavier than the RAV4 Hybrid, so that means the NX 450h+ will be closer to 4,700lbs (~2,130 kg). Dang that’s RX 450h territory. No wonder they called it the 450h+, ha ha. They’ll probably tweak it to produce a smidgen more HP out of it than the RAV4 Prime. iPad ? Pro
