I was a little paranoid about getting the Bisque carpets for fear it may be a challenge to keep clean.
I've heard opinions that swear the lighter colors are easier to keep clean and vice versa.

I want the lighter colors to promote a big roomy feel and add a bit of elegant look. But like all "elegant" things from diamond rings to red shiny cars..... they don't look too hot if they are all dirty.

Here is one game-plan I plan do do with mine that has worked excellent on my prior automobiles.

I plan in the summer time when the sun is out and the humidity is nice and low to do a yearly steam cleaning on my carpet in my prius.

I have had steam cleaners for over 10 years, but I found one I really like!... it does a great job and it only cost about 150.00.
Its the Eureka Steam Extractor "Atlantis" - 2590 Series!

A nice tip also is instead of using the carpet cleaner.. use a tablespoon or two of liquid laundry detergent and fill the rest of the soap container with water!... Its extremely powerful and low sudzing! I like Tide, cause it smells nice... Get the kind with the "bleach alternative"
It will make the carpets in your house the same color as they are behind your doors where they have never worn... you will be amazed!
It will return them to that soft fresh feel!
I'm sure it will work great in the prius too!

Keeping the grit and dirt out of carpets really help to keep the fibers good as new preventing that worn down look!

Anyway... If one really has a need for it... you can also get the all weather mats to throw in if it ever gets muddy snowy nasty outside.

Please add any other tips you can think of for the outside, paint, tires, motor etc.

Not sure if anyone's mentioned it but a good alternative to glass cleaner is newspaper. It's a good polisher if Windex doesn't get the spots off.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works quite well on scuff marks especially on door sills.

i've used the magic eraser with good results, but one tip is to remember to get all the white residue off, or it will not go away no matter what you do!

The little plastic left on by the dealership on the front door sills just wore off.

Any suggestions on replacement plastic to protect the door sills?
We have beige sills and they scuff real well (and yes I will try the Mr.Clean Magic easer).
