The noise has been there for quite a while, these tires are about 4500 miles old, got them in April this year. They are the Michelin Energy saver. Bought from the dealer and had them installed too. Before the tire change, I had the Goodyear Integrity, humming/whirring noise is still there. So after changing tires, the noise didn't go away, then what can the issue be? I addressed this noise to the dealer, they said they could not replicate/hear the noise I'm describing. Frustrating. I'm at 74,500 miles. 2009 Prius.
Does the noise change or go away momentarily if you jog the wheel to one side or another while cruising, or when you are going around a turn? Could be a wheel bearing noise.
