Can the tire pressure be affected by really cold weather? My tire pressure light has suddenly come on. I was in my car from 5-6 and it was fine even though it was snowing with blizzard like conditions. When I got out of work at 11:30 and turned my honey on the light was on. I turned the car off and then back on. Still no luck. It's on and not turning off. I plan on checking the tires once it daylight gets here. What pressure should the tires be at? I have one of those little silver blue things that push out when you stick it in your tire. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Tamara
cold air makes your tire pressure drop. so chances are your pressures are low, as indicated by the light. it's a good idea to check every couple weeks to keep optimal pressure due to temperature fluctuations and such. factory pressures are 35 front 33 rear, but the tire can handle up to 44 front 42 rear. then hit your "reset" button under the steering wheel till the light blinks 3 times and you're set.
