I had someone ask if my Prius Prime had the tpms aka tire pressure monitoring sensor because their RAV4 doesn’t. I figured others would like this info too. I can confirm that it does and the info can be displayed on the driver side dash. I don’t know if it’s only a particular type of sensor or only compatible with Toyota sensors.
I think all Toyota's have TPMS. But they all don't display the actual individual tire pressures. I hope we have it on the LE!
That was another thought. It might depend on trim level if you get to see individual pressures. I'd have been OK with just knowing which tire is too low or high rather than knowing the exact pressure. I don't need to know the actual pressure level when driving.
After some postponements, TPMS was finally required on U.S. vehicles since model year 2008. If that someone's RAV4 doesn't have it, it must be an older model. The individual pressure reading is note required, and many of us have cars with just a simple warning that one tire is low or not reporting.
I have a 2023 LE in the US. It has PSI readings, not just 'tire low' warnings. Haven't updated my profile yet
The 2016 Camry Se had individual readings, while other trims appeared not to. Not sure why that was. Wasn't like the SE had a different dash.
Can you tell me how you are able to display the PSI readings on the dash please for the US model? I've tried to go into the settings but all I'm able to display is tire pressure settings, not display of actual pressure. Thanks - friyet
