Does it really matter who rotates the tires? Toyota service wants 63.50; local tire dealer charges 38.00. Can I save money safely?
Some Toyota dealers and some tire stores rotate tires free of charge but will charge to "balance" the wheels. Of course it does.. It's a Toyota. Not just anyone can rotate the tires. Toyota makes precise instruments just for this sort of thing. There's a special Toyota lift, a special Toyota socket and a special Toyota technician who knows exactly the proper way to rotate the tires. ok.. nope.. it doesn't really matter. You could even do it yourself.
