I picked up this sparco terra 16' wheels (16x7, offset 42) and am looking for tires. (very cool looking wheels for decent price. check it out.) I am trying to decide between 195 55 16 (Tire rack recommend 195 50 16. It's harder to find) Vs 205 55 16. Anyone ran 205? no rubbing issues and how much mpg did it drop?
195/50 R16 is definitely a better size match in terms of acceleration, braking, measurement & MPG. 205/50R16 is also a close fit, would give you lots of opportunities... I'd try that before any 55 series on a 16" rim.
Thanks. Those '50' ones are just harder to find. I will keep searching for it. (I really want to put All terrain ones to make it look cool but they don't come in those numbers) I also realized new wheels didn't come with valve stems. Looks like I have to separate steel wheel from the tire to take out the TPMS lol
Can you get the wheels you like in 15"? that gives you room for a taller aspect tire, many more choices.
I ended up getting 195 55 16 on sparco wheels. It sticks out of fender just little bit and looks great!
