    Lutz tried to buy GM gliders and make them into EVs: VIA Motors - Wikipedia. They are still in business but we're not talking huge numbers ... no love.

    Musk has his electric semi-trailer truck and sketches for a pickup. There is a gap in the middle and these Japanese delivery trucks fill that niche. So Musk can play with the fun stuff.
