Please do keep us posted on the pace of recidivism, and whether Australia will delete the post of Science Minister.

That's the data as fairly presented as possible.

Now I doubt that the Australian carbon tax could possibly decrease world wide ghg emissions by even 0.3%. Australia produces about 1% of global ghg.

If we need to drop ghg world wide by 80% even if Australia turned amish and burned nothing it would only reduce world wide ghg production by 1%.

In other words other than to australians does this removal of the carbon tax mean anything?

Will Abbot alone, leading an economy that produces 1% of ghg doom man kind. Some people think so, and that is why this has become so political
Tony Abbott will doom future generations if he ditches carbon tax

May be fairly similar to US except our conservative party doesn't get a chance to govern nationally due to their social agenda and anti-attitude. If it wasn't for the unexpected cheap shale gas in USA, we'd still be full-tilt on coal.
