If Eisenhower was alive today he could not get the nomination from either party. He'd be too liberal even for the Democrats.

Wasn't Eisenhower the republican president who warned very strongly to guard against a run away industrial military complex? If my memory serves well, then nope, the republicans would never have him today, and the democrats wouldn't either. It would be him and Nader together against the rest of them.
