Hello...I'm considering topping my tank off for 3 fill ups in a row so that I can accurately gauge my mpgs vs what is displayed. Since I use different pumps, and cutting off after 3-5 clicks, I'm not consistent, so I want to top off the tank to compare. Is this harmful to the car? I know it does some sort of vent test after a few hours of shut down. Has anyone tried this for calculation or max range? Thanks for feedback!
When the pump stops, just put the nozzle away, then there are no issues. If you use fuelly, you will get an accurate MPG over time, even if each tank varies.
