So 12 hours ago, I planted: (10) Purple Passion; (20) Jersey-Knight, and; (25) Mary Washington in rings in a circular patch with an old tree stump in the middle. After the first tilling a week ago, I picked out the weeds before the second tilling. It added 15 lbs of gypsum and a third tilling, 50 lbs of organic soil mix. In about 30 minutes, a rain front will pass through and water the bed. Two weeks ago, I tilled another circular patch with 50 lbs of organic soil mix. About 6 ft in diameter, it has (25) Seascape Everbearing. It was watered on a previous rainy day. I have my eye on another patch for okra and corn which are late season plantings. There is also an area likely for watermelon. As I post this, the front has reached the Georgia border headed away. A gentle, rain morning, great day to catch up on my Tesla maintenance. Bob Wilson
