when i go through drive throughs i notice that even while stopped in P or in D (foot on brake) that my battery level drops very quickly. do i have to switch to Aux mode even for just a minute or two? another thing... my battery level never shows fully charged. at most it fills up to the last pip, but never full. is there anything wrong with that?
on both accounts? good to hear! it seems a bit much to have to switch into Aux mode while in a drive through, but thats what i will do i suppose. id like to keep the ICE running as little as possible. thanks!
The ice running is a good thing it charges the battery when it gets to low. The computer regulates the processes not wise to mess with it
i know it charges the battery, but if keeping the battery level up by using Aux mode more will keep the ICE from burning fuel then im going to at least try it. are you suggesting to just let the battery run down (in those short situations) and fill back up via the comp/ICE...?
By the way, the battery DOES fill up if you drive down a steep hill over 600 feet tall. At that point you lose the regenerative braking. (which is why the battery tries not to fill up)
