Totally DEAD

    Was driving 2007 Prius th other day, got a chlorine smell & the car totally died. No lights on dash, no red triangle of death, just a blank, black dash & zero power. Main hybrid battery was replaced just a little over a year ago. Any help would be appreciated

    Yes. Even had someone come out and try new 12volt aux battery. Still can't get ignition on.

    Does the multifunction display work?
    (The main screen in the middle of the dash.)

    Have you ever had problems with the Odometer going out or car sometimes not starting or not turning off?

    ok, i fixed my little power completely out after smelling a LOT of chlorine like smell. it appears that the inverter pump burned out. i replaced it and the car still wouldnt light up, start, dead...nothing doing. apparently, when the inverter pump burns out like that, it blows the AM2 fuse, little green one. I replaced that after a lot of grumbling about the car being no good. and, wouldnt ya know. it all lights up and runs just fine now. seems the chlorine like smell is the plastic of the inverter pump being burned out completely.
