    It's sort-of explained in Danny's thread labeled "Thread of the month."

    I don't see the nomination button that he mentions.

    You'll note that at the bottom left of the first post of each thread is a little box with a gold seal. If you feel someone's post is worthy of the TOTM award you click that to nominate. Obviously the thing under the avatar keeps the tally of your TOTMs.

    Also looks like the thread had to be started after TOTM started for the voting box to show up. It doesn't show up in older threads.

    I thought the gold seal was at the bottom right.
    Maybe things are different down here in the southern hemisphere.

    Also isn't it called "topic of the month" rather than "thread of the month"?

    Or, maybe I should just get back to work.

    My first thought was Time of the Month, then perhaps Top of the Morning, then Take on the Machine... so I'm glad this was explained :)
