Lots of posts and threads here about adjusting Gen 02 parking brakes with rear drums but nothing about the all wheel disc brake Touring Model. Any experience or advice on this issue? My parking pedal goes to the floor and will not hold the car on a hill. 2007 with 225,000 miles and about 25% of the original brake pads left.
Was there such a thing? A 2007? Where did you buy it? I can't find any sign of it on parts.toyota.com either. Can you post pictures of the rear brakes? -Chap
Bought it at Olathe Toyota in Kansas June 2007 new. Leaving right now for Austin, TX. Pix later, maybe Thursday. I can take a picture of the original window sticker when we return. Another 1200 miles going on "old reliable". Not as comfy as the wife's Avalon but easier to drive and I believe even safer.
IF it is like the European models the parking brake has a drum brake inside the disc. It is adjusted via a toothed wheel accessable via a hole in the disc covered by a plastic cover.
