Toyota Motor Corp announced the "iQ," a compact car that accommodates three adults and one child, Oct 15, 2008. The vehicle employs a new platform and is equipped with a variety of functions regardless of the small body less than 3m long. The release is scheduled for Nov 20, 2008, and pricing starts at ¥1.4 million (approx US$13,962). The vehicles will be distributed by Netz Toyota with an aim to sell 2,500 units per month.
