Is there any difference between these 2 fluid? I would like to make things simple and buy the Toyota ATF WS but there is none in my country or even in europe for sale. Only the Toyota ATF D3 is for sale.
I found this Mannol Toyota ATF-WS transmission fluid in finnish website. It is from Mannol brand but still O.E.M. Does it needs to be from Toyota brand?
A Toyota dealership should be able to source that for you and most of them have an online parts portal. My main concern with using D3 is how it's going to affect the wiring insulation within the transmission? You can get away with throwing anything into this simple planetary gear transmission but if it delaminates the wiring insulation within, your transmission will fail. IMHO, that isn't the proper way to do maintenance on your car - better to just leave it alone and hope for the best. Good Luck....
How much is that, a liter, multiple liters? If it’s 40 euros per liter, that is exhorbitant. Here in Canada it’s around $10~12 CDN per liter. again: are there Toyota dealerships in Finland?
It is 40 euros per 5 liter. Is there any difference between Toyota and Mannol Toyota OEM There is Toyota dealership in Finland but I believe they sell only cars and fix them.
Mannol is a EU manufacturer/distributor of automotive parts. IMHO, If your not going to use genuine Toyota ATF-WS; the next best choice is Aisin ATF-WS fluid. They manufacture the Prius transmissions for Toyota and other OEM manufacturers. Hope this helps....
