i'll have to check it out, i wasn't thrilled with the last iteration. right off the bat, i don't like the interior set up, too much wasted space. oh, that front end i till think it's the prius, depending on your needs
If I were a Cheshire Cat I'd love it !! Yeah, if I wanted Over the Top Grill work, I would have become a gangsta .
Not sure if best one to buy correlates to actual best selling? Other than the monster truck size front grill this is the most normal car they sell and contrary to what Toyota thinks, most people prefer normal looking rather than the ostentatious stupid body work Toyota keeps screwing up Prius with...
over the top body style serves an important purpose to manufacturers, regardless if many think it looks weird. In a few years, the body style change and everyone will look upon these things is, "OMG remember that style?" YEP - everyone will know your car is 3 or 8 or 10 years old - the second they see it - unlike some manufacturers that go with a more sedated (but still luxurious) look. That allows you to keep it six or seven years & your car looks just like the newest model. A monster Grill will never be confused with anything but what it is. .
Most Mazdas and Tesla Model 3 value keeping the design simple & timeless... I wouldn't be surprised if they get more than a decade out of their current shapes.
I disagree... And while all Toyota's these days have atrocious front grills, the Solara looks normal from behind and the 2020 Camry has all that dumb unnecessary extra on the back:
is that spoiler standard? looking at hycam and hyava on toyota.com the rear ends both look good, byt hycam fron looks better
The Camry just breaks up the fake grill with fake side vents. The Accord's looks are even more toned down, is EPA rated better than the Avalon, and has more space than it. The Avalon just squeezes into the midsize category, while the Accord is large.
Our daughter's Pilot yesterday morning: Don't have to obscure the license plate, it's... somewhere...
do you still like honda? my daughter had a 99 accord, and i drove my dil's moms civic. not impressed with either.
Drove our old (still in the family) 06 Civic hybrid a few times post Prius acquisition, definitely not as refined. To be fair it had been in a few battles, was getting on. That Pilot (2010) is kinda fun to bomb around in. Has a noticeably tighter turning radius than our 2010 Touring Prius. Daughter's hoping it's totaled, but I think definitely not; just a plastic love-tap, it'll buff out. We'll see. There may be a silver lining: I've been delaying a scheduled coolant change, and just maybe the radiator is snafu, which lets me off the hook.
that's an ouchie, what happened? my daughter parked her new subie in front of her friends house, and the neghbor across the street backed into it. jus a small dent and scuff on the front fender, $1,500. plus a rental car
I do not. Article is written like the author has to remind himself why the car is the best hybrid. No thanks,
That's literally just one model - the Camry TRD. No other Camry comes with that rear spoiler. Ouch. Yeah it looks like just a new bumper and headlight unit. Although nowadays, that easily runs up several thousand dollars. Toyota can learn a thing or two... see how it snapped, leaving the grille intact? A Toyota would've had clips that would pull the grille with the bumper when the car hit the object, resulting in more damage. My brother was collateral damage to another collision that damaged the entire front end of our Gen 4. That bill was $15,000. (No it wasn't totalled)
