    So the free 2 yr / 2.5K mile maintenance thing Toyota is doing, would it cover a "severe" maintenance schedule?

    I.e., would they change the oil and filter at 5K instead of 10K if I tell them I drive on dusty roads? Or is that out of pocket?

    Or you could buy oil filters and oil and DIY for the "in between" oil changes (5K, 15K, etc.) and change out your air filter if that is looking dirty as well.

    As long as you keep all your receipts, you should be fine.

    Yes, you can ask, but my dealer in OK wouldn't cover it. Toyota cares, but not that much. I decided to change mine early at my own expense, and I felt it was worth it. It might not be worth it for everyone. It's your call. Change the air filter often if you're driving on dusty roads.
