I am considering ordering the Toyota dash cam and during my research there is a disclaimer stating that the wire harness "May Be Required". How do I determine if its required or not? I don't want to spend $40 if I dont need it.
You need it. There's a thread about it over in Mods and Accessories. There's a few of us that have installed one and can help out if you've got questions. Also, don't pay more than $281.75 for the camera(including shipping) or $34.50 for the harness.
OK great. I just ordered both items from Suburban Toyota. $279 for the camera and $37 for the harness.
