I'm owning Toyota Prius 2017. I purchased it last year. While exploring regular maintenance activities, I found The Car Care Nut youtube channel. There I found maintenance recommendations like below. Could anyone please let me know if there is any reference documentation from Toyota? 1. Engine Oil: Replace- in 5k or 6 months 2. Oil Filter: Replace in 5k or 6 months 3. Air filter: Check and replace (if it gets dirty and not cleanable) in 5k or 6 months 4. Cabin Filter: Check and replace (if it gets dirty and not cleanable) in 5k or 6 months 5. HV Battery intake filter: Check and replace (if it gets dirty and not cleanable) in 5k or 6 months 6. Brake Fluid: Check every year and replace in 3 - 5 years 7. Tire: Every 6-7 years 8. Coolent (Engine, Inverter): Initial replacement 100k or 5 years; then replace in 50k or 5 years 9. Transmission Fluid: Replace in 60k or 6 years 10. Spark plugs: Replace in 120k or 10 years
Smart watching The Car Care Nut on YouTube (Ahmed). I, also, follow his maintenance suggestions since he's torn apart around 1,000 Toyota engines so is a subject-matter-expert on how to keep them running for as long as possible. In addition to your maintenance list, I clean out the MAF Sensor and Throttle Body every 25,000 miles or 3-year. (Yes, Ahmed has videos on doing this, too.) For the cabin air filters, Toyota wants WAY too much money for theirs so I replace ours yearly with some from Amazon (Fun Driving carbon activated, FD157) They are around $16 for two.
^ Concur! Probably a bit of an overkill on the Engine Air Filter...but Amazon filters are cheap enough....
