Hey all, this is probably going to be a stupid question, but I'll ask anyways. So I've been leaving my bottle of this stuff outside (which was my fault) and now that its summer time, the plastic has expanded. Now my question is, is the coolant inside still good or should I consider dumping it safely? Just for reference, its been sitting outside for months now. I'm thinking that I should've put it on a shelf inside my storage in the backyard, but I was only just now thinking about this. I'm honestly not sure if its been sitting too long to be useful or not anymore.
SLLC Coolant is mainly ethylon glycol with some phosphate additives. It is meant to be exposed in the heat and cold cycle for 12 years. If the bottle is still sealed or closed tightly, no microorganism grows, it should be fine. The easiest test is take a look and if there is no particulate and still bright pink, it is still good. Test it with test strip if you have one, but it may cost more than the coolant itself.
