Hybrids taking over Toyota? Japanese newspaper reports auto manufacturer will double global output of its hybrid cars in '06. http://hybridscoop.com/article/toyota_to_d...0_units_in_2006
A co-worker who also has a Prius looked downcast the other day at the vanpool park-and-ride. "We're not unique any more," he said. Ah, well. C'est la vie. Our loss of uniqueness is many others (and the environment's) gain.
Re: Toyota to double hybrid production to 500,000 units in 2 Will that be split between the Prius, Highlander, Campry and Lexus? That's about 125,000 each. I'd sure like to see them speed up their conversion timetable and offer hybrid versions of ALL of their cars before their 2010 target date.
